Pathani Samanta Planetarium Bhubaneswar – A Worth-Visiting Place

04 Feb

For a past few days, we were in Bhubaneswar and fully engaged visiting several places here. After enjoying the ancient architecture and skills of people and the scenic beauty of the places, we planned to visit the important place in the city and so we started off to Pathani Samanta Planetarium Bhubaneswar. The basic idea of traveling along with my kids is to provide them knowledge through traveling. Being the last day of the tour, we were busy packing our things during the morning hours and around 11.30 am we planned to visit the planetarium. Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar is an ideal place for the children to visit as it offers descriptions of space science and provides awareness about astronomy and astrophysics. To acquire knowledge and provide education to the people in astronomy, the Planetarium offers several programs like the night sky watch and shows.

We reached the place around 12.30 pm and there was not much crowd in the place. We booked for the special show to view the interesting things in the space; the timing was at 4 pm. We walked around the outside of the planetarium looking at the models and designs of several scientific things, which were fascinating. My kids enjoyed the place very much and they ran around the garden playing among themselves. There were shows conducted in many languages and we can choose any one we prefer.

At 4 pm the show began and it was really interesting and the information was up to date. It offered a realistic feeling and we felt like we were among the stars. We also felt like we are really moving through the stars. As we arranged for a special tour program to pyramids of Egypt (for which we have paid extra) we felt like we are among the Pyramids of Egypt.

I felt proud to know that the Pathani Samanta Planetarium helps students who like to study astronomy. It also helps them to conduct research studies with the vast library around. It was also worth visiting the Natural History Museum, which is just a half kilometer away from Museum. We came back around 6 pm and packed our things and checked out from the hotel and prepared to come back to our daily routines…back to the busy life.
