Yes! When you are with your kids and when you are in a heavenly destination like Darjeeling, there is no end to the fun quotient! It was a great journey and we climbed up this hill resort in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway and believe it or not this resort is truly the most glittering jewel of the majestic Himalayan Mountains! My kids were keeping on bugging me if the hotel we booked arranged for trekking, mountain biking, and parasailing as they were all adventure lovers. Finally we reached Viceroy Darjeeling, the hotel which was located close to the Mall.

The hidden reason for my choice of this hotel was because it located near the shopping and entertainment hub of the hill resort! The stylized uniform of the hotel staffs was object to great fun for my kids since they felt that the caps on their heads was very stylish and they even wanted to try them out! We had booked a cottage and it was very cute and cozy with pine wooden settings and good king size beds. The hotel also gave us extra beds for the kids on a very nominal charge.
The warmth and hospitality of the staffs were indeed touching and they were very helpful in arranging for us sightseeing tours. Some of the very beautiful and enchanting attractions we visited were Tiger Hill, Rock Garden, Nightingale Park, and also a monastery called the Ghoom Monastery, which was situated 8kms from the South of Darjeeling. It was truly a wonderful holiday and we took an oath to visit this beautiful hill resort many more times!
