A family holiday to Goa, spelt happiness in Capital Letters and the happiness that surged in the heart of me and my kids, cannot be described in mere words! After examinations and hard hitting schedules, this was like manna from heaven! But my hubby was firm that we will be on a budget travel and there is no leeway for luxury hotels. Thus started the search for budget hotels in Goa through online sites and we were spoilt for choice!

There were many resorts and hotels like Amigo Plaza, Algeria –The Goan Village, Aldeia Santa Rita, Adamo The Bellus, Bambolim Beach Resort, etc which were all 3 star hotels. Finally we chose Alegria –The Goan Village, which was in Candolim, North Goa and also shared close proximity to Anjuna Beach and Vagator Beach. The minute we reached the thresholds of the hotel we were greeted with a welcoming drink which literally cooled our body and senses!

We were taken to our rooms which had a cable television, tea/coffee maker, refrigerator, mini bar, iron/ironing board, safe deposit locker, etc and it was just like a mini home! We felt very much at home and the friendly staffs made us feel very welcome. The children could not wait to go and enjoy in the garden/lawns, the swimming pool, and play in the various water sports. I was very much smitten by the health club, steam and sauna, Jacuzzi, etc. The multi-cuisine restaurant was simply alluring and the Goan dishes served were out-of-the-world! Book your rooms in one of the budget hotels in Goa, and partake in these wonderful pleasures!
