Best Restaurants In Kolkata : For Bengali Dishes That Make You A Foodie!

02 Apr

Kolkata is a city close to my heart and I wanted to show off the wonderful attractions of my native place, to my kids and husband. The exams got over and I too was literally on cloud nine to see my parents, and a big troop of my cousins and most of all to go and have the delicious dishes in those lovely restaurants! Since we were on a budget travel plan we opted to go by train and we had booked our tickets online well in advance.

Once we were on the train, we could not wait to reach Kolkata and the very first day that we embarked in this city of joy, we started our rounds of all tourist attractions! Anyway we first visited the Rabindra Sarovar or The Lake which was an artificial lake and had also a beautiful children’s park, a rowing club and then we also visited the Salt Lake Central Park. By then we were all hungry and we went to gorge on the Bengali rice and fish curry which is the renowned all over the world!
We had a choice of some budget hotels with best restaurants like Hotel Crestwood Kolkata, Hotel Casa Fortuna, Hotel Bawa Walson, and so on. Finally we decided on Hotel Crestwood which had a great ambience and also offered us fabulous choice of food like the Drunken chicken, fish curry with rice, lentils, bhat, tarkari, luchi, etc. Now that is called dining in style and we will never forget the taste of the deserts like sandesh, rasogulla, misthi dahi, all my life!Once we were on the train, we could not wait to reach Kolkata and the very first day that we embarked in this city of joy, we started our rounds of all tourist attractions!
